EXAMPLES

November 2018

A client was charged with driving with excess breath alcohol (3rd or subsequent) causing injury.  Following a guilty plea, John successfully obtained a sentence of 9 months home detention.

September 2018

A client was charged with excess breath alcohol (7th and 8th) and zero alcohol licences charges (1st and 2nd).  We were successfully able to obtain a sentence of 7 months home detention with an alcohol interlock sentence.  The District Court imposed a 3 year disqualification but that was quashed on appeal.

November 2016

Client had plead guilty to driving under the influence of a drug and had previous traffic convictions.  Counsel was successfully able to obtain a limited licence for a number of work vehicles.

October 2016

Client had been found guilty of careless driving causing injury.  Counsel successfully obtained a limited licence, which had been strongly opposed by Police.

May 2014

Client was charged with driving with excess breath alcohol causing death.  The client plead guilty following a sentence indication.  John was able to obtain a sentence of 21 months’ imprisonment.
